1. Position Summary
The Project Manager & Service Sales Representative is a dual-role position responsible for managing customer projects related to compressed air systems while driving service revenue through the sale of preventative maintenance agreements, repair services, and aftermarket parts. This individual builds strong customer relationships, ensures timely and profitable execution of projects, and supports long-term service partnerships.
2. Key Responsibilities
• Needs to be a self-starter who takes initiative on projects, including training and development with new employees.
• Manage compressed air system installation projects from order to completion (equipment, piping, controls).
• Coordinate internal and external resources (technicians, subcontractors, vendors). • Create project timelines, track progress, and ensure on-time delivery.
• Conduct site visits, pre-installation meetings, and safety assessments.
• Manage project budgets, approve subcontractor invoices, and control costs.
• Communicate regularly with customers, providing updates and resolving issues.
• Ensure post-project closeout, including documentation, commissioning reports, and customer sign-off.
3. Key Metrics /Performance Indicators
• 100% of projects completed on time and within budget
• Monthly service sales revenue • PMA contract renewals and new agreements closed
• Quote-to-close ratio for service opportunities
• Have the ability to quote 25 PM Contracts per month with a 20% Win rate
4. Job Requirements
• Develop new and existing customer relationships to grow service and aftermarket sales.
• Sell planned maintenance agreements (PMAs), repair services, and extended warranties.
• Identify upsell opportunities during site visits and inspections.
• Respond to incoming service inquiries and quote service jobs promptly.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, quotes, and follow-ups.
• Collaborate with service dispatch and technicians to schedule and support service delivery.
• Achieve monthly and annual service sales goals.
• 3–5 years of experience in industrial equipment sales, service coordination, or project management (compressed air, HVAC, or similar industry preferred).
• Strong knowledge of industrial air compressor systems (rotary screw, piston, oilfree, dryers, etc.).
• Experience using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proven project management skills with the ability to multitask and manage priorities.
• Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regionally (25–50%).
• PMP certification or equivalent project management training.
• Experience with service contract negotiation and aftermarket sales.
• Familiarity with ERP/field service software (e.g., ExpandIT, Microsoft Business Central).
5. Work Schedule
• Hours of operation 7:30am-4pm , must be able to work weekends if needed, must be able to participate in on-call rotation for emergency service calls.
